Tree removal services
Do you have a tree that looks diseased or appears to be dying off? Perhaps your tree is becoming too big for the space it’s in or starting to lean the wrong way. It could be time to consider having it removed before it becomes hazardous.
Whether it’s a Residential, Commercial Property or Community Project, Wide Bay Tree Service can remove trees safely and efficiently, taking the worry and stress off your shoulders.

Why we remove trees
Tree removal isn’t just a matter of cutting down trees just because we want to… It's about protecting the health of the environment & properties.
If you have trees on your property, you already know that they are aesthetically wonderful to look at & can have positive environmental benefits, but they also come with risks by being high-maintenance & intrusive. The larger the tree, the larger the root structure. Roots and water/septic pipes aren't a good combination.

Large trees growing in residential areas often hang over houses, gutters, and fences. This can lead to hazardous problems during storm season.
All trees grow differently and can’t all be felled or removed the same way. This is where our arborists will assess the tree and determine the best and safest course of action. Our qualified arborists possess the skills and knowledge to dismantle tricky trees that may be overhanging a fence, structure or in a confined space. Some trees can be felled from the ground if space permits.
We have the tools and machinery to carry out tree removal in a safe and skilled manner, ensuring that the surrounding property is not damaged. Trees in a tight, confined space will either be climbed using professional climbing equipment and branches, then safely lowered to the ground, or other options include cherry pickers or crane removal.
When you recruit Wide Bay Tree Service to handle your tree needs, you can rest assured knowing you’ll get the highest quality service and care.
Tree trimming & pruning
Trees can be a feature or focal point in any yard if trimmed or shaped correctly.
Trees offer wonderful flowers, foliage and shade, alongside bringing joy and happiness to the homeowner for decades.
Remember those happy childhood memories of climbing big backyard trees or building tree houses with neighbourhood friends - we do!

Why trim or prune a tree?
Correct tree trimming and pruning can have many benefits for you and your tree. It can change the shape of your tree, reduce the overall size, reduce disease and pest infiltration and let more sunlight and airflow through the canopy.
When trees are overcrowded with branches, they may have to compete for water, nutrients & air. This is the perfect opportunity for pests and disease to take hold.
Correct tree trimming helps the tree direct its energy to strong & healthy new growth. This reduces stress on the tree, extending its lifespan.
Regular tree trimming is also important to protect your property & neighbouring properties. It reduces the risk of branches falling on your house, fence or structures. It can also reduce the amount of leaf and debris build-up in gutters, allowing water to flow down and away during storm season, and minimising the risk of properties catching fire during bushfire season.
Tree Lopping… What does it mean?
We often hear the term “Tree Lopping” or get referred to as ‘Tree Loppers,’ but what does it actually mean? Tree lopping is a practice of removing the entire top half of the tree, leaving only the main trunk. Tree lopping was widely popular during the 1950s through to about the 80’s before modern arboriculture standards became recognised and adopted.
Lopping a tree is not recommended as it will leave large, malformed stubs where the cross-cutting occurred and leaves the tree vulnerable to a whole spectrum of problems. Lopped trees look disfigured, are susceptible to internal decay, pest penetration, pathogen intrusion, and weak, jointed re-growth. If a tree has been deemed to need such an aggressive cutback, perhaps removal might be an alternative.
Having the tree assessed and pruned correctly by a professional arborist can save you from an unsightly tree that may never recover.
